Key Responsibilities

  • Execute independent testing of compliance and operational risk controls to identify gaps and ensure adherence to JP Morgan Chase policies
  • Develop and maintain testing methodologies, including sampling techniques and scenario-based assessments tailored to financial services risks
  • Collaborate with business units, compliance teams, and senior management to remediate identified issues and enhance control environments
  • Prepare detailed reports on testing outcomes, including risk ratings and recommendations for mitigation strategies
  • Monitor regulatory changes and integrate them into the testing program to support JP Morgan's global risk management framework
  • Conduct root cause analysis on control failures and track corrective action plans to closure
  • Support audit and regulatory examinations by providing testing evidence and insights
  • Train junior team members on compliance testing best practices within the Mumbai operations
  • Leverage data analytics to improve the efficiency and accuracy of risk testing processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, operational risk, or internal audit within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and local Indian regulations like RBI guidelines
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and control testing procedures
  • Experience with data analysis tools and reporting in a banking environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams across global locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certification such as CRISC, CIA, or FRM
  • Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
