Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement governance frameworks for JP Morgan Chase's enterprise data lake to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance
  • Monitor and enforce data quality standards across data ingestion, storage, and access processes in the financial services ecosystem
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to define metadata management policies and data lineage tracking
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of data lake usage to identify and mitigate governance risks
  • Develop and maintain documentation for governance policies, procedures, and controls tailored to banking regulations
  • Support the integration of new data sources into the data lake while ensuring adherence to privacy and security protocols
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on data governance best practices within JP Morgan's global operations
  • Analyze emerging trends in data governance and recommend enhancements to support innovative financial products
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal compliance teams to align data lake practices with industry standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of data lakes, data warehousing, and big data technologies
  • Proficiency in data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or Collibra
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in financial services, including GDPR, Basel III, or similar standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams in a global environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Data Management or related field
