Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data product governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and data integrity across JP Morgan Chase's data ecosystem
  • Collaborate with data product owners, architects, and stakeholders to define governance requirements for new and existing data products
  • Conduct assessments and audits of data products to identify governance gaps and recommend remediation strategies
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to data governance frameworks, including data classification, access controls, and lineage tracking
  • Support the integration of governance controls into data product development pipelines, leveraging tools like Collibra or Alation
  • Facilitate training and awareness programs on data governance best practices for teams in the CAO CDAO organization
  • Analyze regulatory changes impacting data products and update governance programs accordingly
  • Contribute to the creation of data catalogs and metadata repositories to enhance discoverability and usability
  • Partner with risk and compliance teams to mitigate data-related risks in financial services operations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in data product governance to support JP Morgan Chase's innovation goals

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, Basel III, and CCAR
  • Experience with data product lifecycle management and governance tools
  • Proficiency in data modeling, metadata management, and data quality assurance
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, compliance, and business stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • Certification in data governance (e.g., CDMP, DAMA) or related areas
