Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the data onboarding and maintenance processes for operational risk platforms as the primary Product Owner within the Controls Room metadata management team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, risk management, and compliance to ensure accurate and timely metadata updates
  • Define and prioritize product backlog for metadata enhancements, aligning with JP Morgan's firmwide control management objectives
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators for data quality and platform integrity in operational risk systems
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in data processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards for data handling in the financial services sector
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with data onboarding, including data lineage and validation
  • Support the integration of new regulatory requirements into existing metadata frameworks
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices for metadata management in a banking environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data management, metadata handling, or operational risk platforms in the financial services industry
  • Proven experience in product ownership or agile methodologies, particularly in controlling data onboarding processes
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for operational risk management in banking, such as Basel III or internal control frameworks
  • Experience with data governance and metadata management tools in a large-scale financial institution
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment across multiple time zones

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in a relevant field
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Agile (Scrum Master)
