Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily asset servicing operations for prime brokerage clients, including trade settlements, corporate actions, and income processing
  • Perform reconciliations of client positions, cash balances, and collateral to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with front office, back office, and client service teams to resolve discrepancies and operational queries
  • Monitor and manage risk exposures related to asset servicing, escalating issues as needed to senior management
  • Ensure adherence to JP Morgan's risk management policies and regulatory standards in all middle office activities
  • Support client onboarding and ongoing servicing by providing timely reports and analytics on portfolio performance
  • Identify process improvements and implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency in asset servicing workflows
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and audits of middle office processes to mitigate operational risks
  • Liaise with custodians, clearinghouses, and external vendors to facilitate seamless asset movements and settlements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in middle office operations, asset servicing, or prime brokerage within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and collateral management
  • Proficiency in regulatory requirements such as SEC, FINRA, and Dodd-Frank, with a focus on prime brokerage compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume transactions and resolve complex operational issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience using financial reconciliation tools and data analysis software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) or relevant certifications like CFA or Series 7
  • Prior experience at a major investment bank such as JP Morgan Chase or similar in prime brokerage asset servicing
