Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions using Scala, Java, and Python for liquidity risk applications
  • Leverage AWS cloud infrastructure to build resilient and efficient systems handling high-volume financial data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including risk analysts, data scientists, and compliance experts to enhance risk modeling
  • Implement and optimize algorithms for real-time liquidity risk assessment and reporting
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to JP Morgan's engineering standards
  • Integrate with core banking systems and external data sources to support regulatory compliance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a 24/7 financial operations environment
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Liquidity Risk platform, incorporating machine learning for predictive analytics
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software development

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in Scala and/or Java programming languages
  • Experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, and Lambda
  • Solid understanding of Python for scripting and data processing
  • Knowledge of financial services, particularly liquidity risk management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment
