Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure data integrity and compliance across JP Morgan Chase's Chief Data Office
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data governance policies and standards for financial datasets
  • Monitor and enhance data quality processes, identifying and resolving discrepancies in large-scale banking data
  • Support regulatory reporting by managing data lineage and metadata for audit purposes
  • Lead initiatives to optimize data storage and retrieval systems, reducing costs and improving efficiency
  • Conduct data risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies in alignment with firm-wide risk management
  • Mentor junior associates in data management best practices and tools

  • Prepare executive reports on data management metrics and performance for senior leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in data management, data governance, or data quality roles within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, including data ingestion, storage, and archival
  • Proficiency in data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and financial-specific standards like Basel III
  • Experience with data management tools and platforms used in enterprise environments
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global team setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Data Analytics or Finance
  • Certification in data management (e.g., CDMP from DAMA or equivalent)
  • Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
