Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility across JP Morgan Chase's Chief Data Office
• Collaborate with business units to define data requirements and establish governance policies for financial datasets
• Perform data quality assessments, identify issues, and lead remediation efforts to mitigate risks in banking operations
• Design and maintain data catalogs and metadata repositories to support regulatory reporting and analytics
• Monitor data usage and compliance with internal policies and external regulations in the financial services sector
• Partner with technology teams to integrate data management tools and automate processes for efficiency
• Conduct training sessions on data best practices for stakeholders in Mumbai and global teams
• Analyze emerging data trends and recommend innovations to enhance JP Morgan's data-driven decision-making
• Support audit and risk management activities by providing data lineage and impact analysis
• Contribute to the evolution of the Chief Data Office's framework for scalable data solutions in a dynamic banking environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in data management, data governance, or data quality roles within the financial services industry
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, including data acquisition, storage, and disposal
• Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and SQL querying
• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as GDPR, Basel III, or Dodd-Frank in banking contexts
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent
• Certification in data management (e.g., CDMP from DAMA) or financial data standards (e.g., CFA Level 1)
• Prior experience at a global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Knowledge of big data technologies and cloud platforms used in finance
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices in data environments
