Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of data privacy, protection, and usage policies within JP Morgan Chase's Chief Data Office
• Oversee compliance with global data protection regulations, ensuring alignment with financial services standards like GDPR and SOX
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles into data management processes
• Conduct risk assessments and audits on data handling practices to mitigate privacy risks in banking operations
• Drive initiatives for ethical data use, including anonymization techniques and consent management in financial datasets
• Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on emerging data privacy trends impacting the financial industry
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party data protection agreements for JP Morgan's global operations
• Develop training programs and awareness campaigns on data privacy for employees in Bengaluru and other locations
• Monitor and report on key privacy metrics to ensure continuous improvement in data governance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in data management, privacy, or information security within the financial services industry
• Proven track record in implementing data privacy frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations in a banking environment
• Experience with data governance tools and methodologies in large-scale financial institutions
• Strong understanding of data protection laws and ethical data usage in global banking operations
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams managing data privacy and compliance initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in data privacy (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) or information security (e.g., CISSP)
• Experience working in a Chief Data Office or similar data-centric role at a major financial institution
• Familiarity with JP Morgan Chase's internal data management policies and risk frameworks
• Advanced knowledge of AI/ML ethics and data usage in financial modeling

Required Skills

• Expertise in data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Proficiency in data governance frameworks and tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica)
• Strong knowledge of financial data security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001)
• Experience with data classification, encryption, and access control mechanisms
• Analytical skills for privacy impact assessments and risk modeling
• Leadership and stakeholder management in multicultural teams
• Technical proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis
• Understanding of AI ethics and bias mitigation in financial data usage
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to executive leadership
• Project management abilities using Agile or Waterfall methodologies
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) in banking contexts
• Problem-solving skills for complex data protection challenges
• Attention to detail in compliance documentation and auditing
