Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement fraud detection strategies for JPMorgan Chase's Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Card Payments portfolio to minimize financial losses and enhance customer protection
  • Analyze transaction data using advanced analytics and machine learning models to identify emerging fraud patterns and trends in card payments
  • Collaborate with product, technology, and compliance teams to design and deploy fraud prevention rules, thresholds, and alerts
  • Conduct performance monitoring and optimization of fraud models, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards
  • Perform root cause analysis on fraud incidents and recommend enhancements to existing systems and processes
  • Partner with global teams to share insights on fraud intelligence and contribute to enterprise-wide risk management initiatives
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on fraud metrics, strategy effectiveness, and risk exposure
  • Stay abreast of industry developments in card fraud, including new payment technologies like digital wallets and real-time payments
  • Support ad-hoc fraud investigations and provide analytical support during high-impact events or regulatory audits

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fraud analytics, risk management, or payments fraud in the financial services industry
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R for querying and manipulating large datasets
  • Experience with fraud detection models, machine learning algorithms, or statistical modeling in a banking or card payments environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to card fraud, such as PCI DSS and anti-money laundering (AML) standards
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global organization like JPMorgan Chase

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Data Science or Financial Engineering
