Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee portfolio-level stress testing, scenario analysis, and early warning indicators to ensure robust risk controls
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, finance, and compliance to integrate risk insights into business decisions
  • Drive the implementation of advanced analytics and modeling techniques to improve portfolio profitability and regulatory adherence
  • Monitor key risk metrics such as delinquency rates, utilization, and loss rates, providing executive-level reporting and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with internal JP Morgan Chase policies and external regulations like Dodd-Frank and IFRS 9
  • Mentor and develop a team of risk analysts, fostering a culture of innovation in risk management
  • Identify emerging risks in the credit card market, including macroeconomic factors and competitive dynamics

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree (Master's or PhD) strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in risk management, portfolio analytics, or credit risk modeling within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in managing consumer credit card portfolios, including stress testing and regulatory compliance
  • Deep expertise in quantitative risk modeling, including probability of default (PD), loss given default (LGD), and exposure at default (EAD) models
  • Strong understanding of Basel III/IV regulations, CCAR, and other banking risk frameworks applicable to JP Morgan Chase
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a large financial institution, with a focus on data-driven decision making

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA, FRM, or similar professional certification in risk management or finance
