Key Responsibilities

• Act as the senior representative for JP Morgan Chase's China Single Country Business Management (SCBM) team, leading the formulation and execution of location-specific business strategies
• Collaborate with global and regional leadership to align China operations with JP Morgan's overarching corporate objectives in investment banking, asset management, and commercial banking
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key Chinese regulators, clients, and partners to enhance market presence and ensure compliance with local laws
• Oversee risk management frameworks tailored to the Chinese market, mitigating geopolitical, regulatory, and operational risks
• Drive business development initiatives, including identifying growth opportunities in sectors like technology, healthcare, and sustainable finance
• Lead a team of professionals in Shanghai, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with JP Morgan's values of integrity and excellence
• Monitor market trends and competitive landscapes in China to inform strategic decision-making and innovation in financial products
• Coordinate cross-border projects, ensuring seamless integration between China operations and global JP Morgan teams
• Prepare and present executive reports on China business performance to senior leadership in New York and Hong Kong
• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the China team to reflect JP Morgan's global commitment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in senior management roles in Asia-Pacific markets
• Deep knowledge of the Chinese financial regulatory environment, including regulations from the People's Bank of China (PBOC) and China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC)
• Proven track record in business strategy development and execution within multinational banking institutions
• Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams in a high-stakes, international setting
• Fluency in Mandarin and English, with excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
• Ability to travel frequently within China and regionally as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at JP Morgan Chase or a similar global investment bank in China operations
• Prior involvement in strategic partnerships with Chinese financial institutions or government entities
• Advanced certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent in financial risk management
• Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth in emerging markets within the financial sector
