Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver metrics reports on tax operations performance to senior management, highlighting key trends and variances
  • Conduct quality audits on tax reporting processes and communicate results to line of business partners to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in tax reporting workflows, implementing enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce errors
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including tax advisors and compliance teams, to resolve complex client tax issues
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to JP Morgan Chase's tax policies and regulatory requirements in a dynamic financial services landscape
  • Analyze tax data to support client advisory services, providing insights that aid in risk mitigation and strategic decision-making
  • Maintain accurate documentation of tax operations activities and contribute to the development of training materials for team members
  • Support ad-hoc tax projects, such as system upgrades or regulatory changes impacting client tax reporting
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth tax examinations and filings

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in tax operations, compliance, or financial reporting within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations, including US federal and state tax codes relevant to banking and investment services
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, with experience in metrics tracking and audit processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential financial information
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global financial environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification in taxation
