Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update cost basis data for transferred securities, ensuring accurate recording of acquisition costs, dates, and applicable tax codes
  • Review and validate client tax information to comply with regulatory requirements such as IRS Form 1099 and FATCA
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including client advisors, compliance officers, and IT support to resolve data discrepancies
  • Perform daily reconciliations of securities transfers and generate reports on cost basis adjustments
  • Assist in auditing tax records and preparing documentation for internal and external audits
  • Monitor regulatory changes in tax laws and implement updates to cost basis methodologies
  • Provide support to clients on tax-related inquiries regarding their investment portfolios

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax reporting, cost basis management, or securities processing within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations, including IRS cost basis reporting rules and international tax codes
  • Proficiency in financial data management systems and databases
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive financial data
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with tight deadlines
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus for global client interactions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification in tax or finance
