Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accurate reporting of client tax information to ensure compliance with IRS regulations for US Private Bank clients
  • Manage withholding processes under FATCA and other US tax withholding rules, including Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 obligations
  • Review and validate client tax documentation, such as W-8 and W-9 forms, to mitigate compliance risks
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent tax treatment across JP Morgan Chase's international operations
  • Conduct periodic audits and reconciliations of tax data to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Provide guidance to client advisors on tax implications of investment products and transactions
  • Stay updated on changes in US tax laws and implement necessary process updates
  • Support regulatory filings, including preparation of Forms 1042, 1042-S, and 1099 series
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities on behalf of JP Morgan Chase

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance, reporting, or withholding in a financial services environment

  • Professional certification such as CPA, Enrolled Agent, or equivalent
