Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain resilient ETL pipelines in cloud environments to support JP Morgan's financial data processing needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure application scalability, security, and reliability in line with SRE best practices
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues in production environments
• Optimize ETL processes for performance, handling large volumes of sensitive financial transaction data
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to uphold high standards of code quality and security
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical banking applications and respond to incidents swiftly
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the financial sector
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in cloud infrastructure and ETL methodologies
• Integrate security measures into ETL workflows to protect against data breaches in a highly regulated industry
• Analyze system performance metrics and recommend enhancements to support JP Morgan's global operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on ETL processes and cloud technologies
• Proficiency in building and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications in AWS or similar environments
• Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL tools, and handling large-scale financial data in a secure manner
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance with financial regulations such as GDPR and SOX
• Ability to collaborate in agile teams and contribute to on-call rotations for production support

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant technical field
• Experience working in the financial services industry, particularly with banking data systems
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
• Familiarity with JP Morgan's internal tools and frameworks for cloud ETL development
