Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for GCP environments to ensure secure adoption across JP Morgan Chase's financial services platforms
• Conduct risk assessments and compliance audits for public cloud deployments, aligning with regulatory requirements in the financial sector
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security best practices into cloud architecture, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring
• Monitor and respond to security incidents in GCP, utilizing tools like Cloud Audit Logs and Forseti Security
• Develop and enforce policies for secure cloud resource management, focusing on identity, data protection, and network security
• Provide guidance on secure DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines in GCP for financial application development
• Stay updated on emerging cloud security threats and contribute to JP Morgan's cybersecurity strategy
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to ensure cloud initiatives meet banking compliance standards
• Mentor junior engineers on GCP security features and best practices in a financial services context

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud security engineering, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proven experience in implementing security controls for public cloud environments in a regulated industry such as financial services
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks like GDPR, PCI-DSS, and SOX relevant to banking and financial operations
• Experience with cloud security tools and services, including GCP's Security Command Center and Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer or equivalent
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global financial institution environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Experience with hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-premises and GCP environments
• Familiarity with JP Morgan Chase's internal security policies and risk management practices
• Prior work in securing financial applications and data in a high-stakes banking context
• Knowledge of threat modeling and vulnerability assessment in cloud-native applications

• Expertise in GCP security services (e.g., VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor)

• Experience with SIEM tools and log analysis for threat detection in cloud settings
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including firewalls and secure connectivity in GCP

• Scripting and automation skills in Python or Bash for security operations
