Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with startup and growth-stage companies, providing tailored financial solutions including loans, lines of credit, and cash management services
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and credit assessments to underwrite deals and mitigate risks for Commercial Banking clients
  • Collaborate with JP Morgan Chase's internal teams, such as Treasury Services and Investment Banking, to deliver integrated solutions
  • Prospect and originate new business opportunities within the Dallas startup ecosystem and across the country
  • Monitor client portfolios, ensuring compliance with lending covenants and identifying opportunities for portfolio growth
  • Advise clients on strategic financial planning, including capital raising and expansion strategies
  • Represent JP Morgan Chase at industry events, networking with entrepreneurs, VCs, and partners
  • Prepare and present credit proposals to senior management and credit committees
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and JP Morgan Chase's risk management policies
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial banking, with a focus on startup or growth-stage companies
  • Proven track record in originating and managing commercial lending relationships
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, credit underwriting, and risk management in the financial services industry
  • Active network within the startup ecosystem, including venture capital firms and entrepreneurs
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses or equivalent certifications required
  • Ability to travel up to 30% for client meetings and industry events

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance or related field
