Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of updated Environmental & Social (E&S) risk standards across the Commercial & Investment Bank
• Act as the primary control management contact for E&S risk, providing guidance to business lines and stakeholders
• Develop and maintain robust control frameworks to mitigate E&S risks in lending, investment, and advisory activities
• Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Collaborate with global teams to integrate E&S considerations into credit and investment decision-making processes
• Monitor and report on E&S risk exposures, escalating issues to senior management as needed
• Facilitate training and awareness programs on E&S risk management for relevant staff
• Support audits and regulatory examinations related to E&S controls
• Drive continuous improvement in E&S risk management practices aligned with JP Morgan Chase's sustainability goals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management, control functions, or compliance within the financial services industry
• Proven track record in managing environmental and social risk frameworks in banking or investment sectors
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to E&S risks, such as EU Taxonomy, SFDR, or Equator Principles
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in implementing risk standards and controls
• Professional certification in risk management (e.g., FRM, CRISC) or sustainability (e.g., CFA ESG Investing Certificate)

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in a relevant discipline
• Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase in E&S risk or sustainable finance
• Knowledge of UK-specific regulations on environmental and social governance
• Experience with data analytics tools for risk assessment in ESG contexts
