Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data architectures to support commercial investment banking analytics, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan Chase's global data strategy
• Lead the development of data models, schemas, and integration patterns for high-volume transaction and market data
• Collaborate with CDAO stakeholders, data scientists, and business units to define data requirements and drive impactful analytics solutions
• Oversee data governance, quality assurance, and compliance initiatives to mitigate risks in financial reporting
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies like AI/ML into data platforms for predictive modeling in investment banking
• Mentor junior architects and foster a culture of innovation within the London CDAO team
• Conduct architectural reviews and optimize existing systems for performance and cost-efficiency in cloud environments
• Partner with global teams to ensure data solutions support cross-border regulatory needs
• Drive the adoption of best practices in data security and privacy, particularly for client and market-sensitive information

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and enterprise data management within financial services
• Proven track record in leading data architecture initiatives in a large-scale banking environment, with familiarity in regulatory compliance such as GDPR and Basel III
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with hands-on experience in data lakes, ETL processes, and big data technologies
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and metadata management in a financial context
• Experience in agile methodologies and cross-functional team leadership
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for working with sensitive financial data

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence
• Prior experience at a top-tier investment bank like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Certification in data architecture (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional - CDMP)
• Knowledge of machine learning integration with data pipelines for risk modeling
• Experience with sustainable finance data architectures supporting ESG reporting
