Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the origination of commercial real estate loans by reviewing borrower applications and financial documentation
  • Conduct initial due diligence on loan proposals, including property appraisals and market analysis
  • Collaborate with underwriters and credit analysts to prepare loan packages for approval
  • Monitor loan pipelines to ensure timely progression from application to closing
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations such as Dodd-Frank, Basel III, and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements
  • Communicate with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve issues
  • Prepare reports and summaries on loan status for senior management review
  • Support portfolio management by tracking post-origination loan performance metrics
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on JPMorgan Chase's lending products and risk management practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in commercial lending, real estate finance, or banking operations
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate loan structures, underwriting principles, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, including reviewing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow projections
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment within a large financial institution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CRE loan origination systems or software like nCino or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of JPMorgan Chase's internal lending policies and compliance standards
  • Prior internship or role in a major bank's commercial banking division
