Key Responsibilities

• Lead the origination and execution of physical power and gas sales to corporate clients in the European energy sector
• Develop and shape the strategic direction of the energy corporate sales team, aligning with J.P. Morgan's global commodities objectives
• Build and maintain high-value client relationships with energy producers, utilities, and industrial consumers
• Identify market opportunities and structure complex energy transactions to drive revenue growth
• Collaborate with trading, risk, and structuring teams to ensure seamless deal execution and risk mitigation
• Monitor energy market trends, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors to inform sales strategies
• Mentor and lead a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
• Contribute to the firm's thought leadership in commodities through client presentations and market insights
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations in all sales activities
• Support cross-selling initiatives by integrating energy solutions with J.P. Morgan's broader financial products

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in commodities trading, energy sales origination, or corporate sales within the financial services industry
• Proven track record in leading physical power and gas sales in European markets, with a focus on origination and deal structuring
• Deep knowledge of energy markets, including regulatory frameworks such as REMIT and MiFID II
• Strong network of client relationships in the corporate energy sector across Europe
• Experience in risk management and compliance within a global banking environment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes trading floor setting

Preferred Qualifications

• CFA, FRM, or equivalent certification in finance or risk management
• Prior leadership role in a commodities desk at a major investment bank
• Fluency in additional European languages (e.g., German, French)
• Experience with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors in energy trading
• History of contributing to business development strategies in volatile energy markets
