Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily trading operations for the commodities desk, ensuring seamless execution and compliance
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize trading performance and profitability
  • Manage a team of traders, analysts, and support staff, providing mentorship and performance guidance
  • Monitor market trends, risks, and opportunities in commodities sectors like oil, natural gas, and precious metals
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align trading activities with JPMorgan Chase's broader business objectives
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory standards, and risk management protocols
  • Analyze trading data to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in commodities trading, financial services, or investment banking, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record in managing trading operations and financial strategies within the commodities sector
  • Deep knowledge of global commodities markets, including energy, metals, and agriculture
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as Dodd-Frank, EMIR, and MiFID II
