Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive risk assessments and testing activities to evaluate the effectiveness of controls across JP Morgan Chase's compliance and operational risk frameworks
  • Identify control gaps, deficiencies, and emerging risks in business processes, recommending actionable remediation strategies
  • Drive remediation efforts by collaborating with business units, compliance teams, and senior stakeholders to implement corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain testing methodologies, including sampling techniques and data analytics, aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare detailed reports on testing outcomes, risk exposures, and remediation progress for presentation to senior management and regulators
  • Monitor ongoing compliance with EU regulations and internal policies, ensuring timely identification of issues in Dublin-based operations
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in risk testing protocols and foster a culture of risk awareness
  • Conduct periodic reviews of operational processes to enhance efficiency and mitigate potential compliance risks

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in compliance, operational risk management, or internal audit within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in leading risk assessments and testing programs in a banking environment
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, MiFID II, and Basel III, with experience in EU financial regulations
  • Certification in risk management (e.g., CRISC, CISA, or FRM) or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience in identifying control gaps and driving remediation in a large-scale financial institution
