Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive risk assessments and testing activities for compliance and operational risk across JP Morgan Chase's business lines in Hyderabad
  • Identify control gaps, deficiencies, and emerging risks in financial processes, ensuring alignment with global regulatory standards
  • Develop and execute remediation plans to address identified issues, collaborating with business units to enhance operational efficiency
  • Conduct independent testing of controls, including sample reviews, walkthroughs, and validation of mitigation strategies
  • Prepare detailed reports on testing outcomes, risk exposures, and recommendations for senior management and regulatory submissions
  • Mentor and guide a team of compliance testers, fostering a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices to update testing methodologies and ensure JP Morgan's compliance posture
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Legal, Audit, and Business Operations, to integrate risk testing into daily operations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in compliance, operational risk management, or internal audit within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in leading risk assessments and testing programs in a banking or financial institution environment
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and local Indian regulations (e.g., RBI guidelines)
  • Experience in identifying control gaps and driving remediation initiatives in a global banking context
