Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct risk assessments across APAC Legal Entities (LEs) to identify and mitigate potential control gaps
  • Support the development and implementation of control management frameworks in alignment with JP Morgan Chase's global standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, analyze risks, and prepare comprehensive assessment reports
  • Monitor regulatory changes in APAC and ensure compliance through timely updates to risk processes
  • Facilitate training sessions and awareness programs on control management for APAC teams
  • Track and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and control effectiveness metrics to senior management
  • Assist in the remediation of identified issues, working with business units to implement corrective actions
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk assessment methodologies and tools within the APAC LE CORE team
  • Liaise with global control management teams to align regional activities with enterprise-wide initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in risk management, control management, or compliance within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk assessment frameworks applicable to APAC financial institutions
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting software, with experience in handling large datasets
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple stakeholders across regions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Risk Management) or relevant certifications like FRM or CRISC
  • Prior experience working with JP Morgan Chase or similar global financial institutions in APAC
  • Knowledge of APAC-specific regulations such as those from MAS, HKMA, or ASIC
  • Experience in program coordination for risk assessments in a multinational banking environment
