Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risks across business lines at JPMorgan Chase
  • Develop and implement robust control frameworks to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Oversee the monitoring and reporting of key risk indicators (KRIs) and control effectiveness metrics
  • Collaborate with senior management to integrate risk management into strategic decision-making processes
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of control processes to identify gaps and recommend enhancements
  • Manage a team of control analysts, providing guidance on best practices in financial risk mitigation
  • Facilitate training programs on risk awareness and compliance for employees in the National Capital Region
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal audit teams to support examinations and remediation efforts
  • Drive continuous improvement in control management tools and technologies, leveraging data analytics
  • Ensure alignment of local controls with global JPMorgan Chase standards in the Philippines operations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in risk management, control functions, or compliance within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in leading control management initiatives at a senior level in a large financial institution
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and local Philippine banking regulations
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies in a global banking environment
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with senior stakeholders
  • Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISA, or FRM are highly desirable

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Risk Management) from a recognized institution
