Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of control strategies for the Chief Data & Analytics Office in APAC, ensuring alignment with global JP Morgan Chase standards
• Oversee risk assessments and mitigation plans for data governance, analytics platforms, and regulatory compliance across APAC operations
• Manage a team of control professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders in technology, operations, and business lines to integrate robust data controls into strategic initiatives
• Monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and control effectiveness, providing executive-level insights to APAC leadership
• Drive the implementation of advanced analytics tools to enhance control monitoring and predictive risk modeling
• Ensure adherence to APAC regulatory requirements, including coordination with local authorities and internal audit teams
• Identify emerging risks in data usage and analytics, developing proactive control frameworks to safeguard JP Morgan Chase's operations
• Mentor and develop talent within the control function, promoting diversity and inclusion in line with firm-wide goals
• Contribute to global policy development by incorporating APAC-specific perspectives on data and analytics controls

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or Master's) preferred
• 10+ years of experience in risk management, control functions, or data governance within the financial services industry
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams in a high-stakes regulatory environment, ideally in APAC markets
• Deep understanding of financial regulations such as Basel III, GDPR, and APAC-specific data privacy laws
• Strong track record in implementing data analytics and control frameworks in large-scale banking operations
• Experience with enterprise risk management systems and compliance reporting in a global financial institution
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or other APAC languages is advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in risk management (e.g., FRM, CRISC) or data analytics (e.g., CDMP)
• Prior experience at a Tier 1 investment bank like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Knowledge of AI/ML applications in financial data controls and analytics
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-border initiatives in the APAC region
• Background in audit or internal controls within a Chief Data & Analytics Office
