Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational, financial, and regulatory risks across business lines at JPMorgan Chase

  • Oversee control testing programs, including design effectiveness and operational effectiveness reviews
  • Collaborate with senior management to report on risk exposures and control deficiencies
  • Manage issue remediation processes, tracking progress and ensuring timely resolution
  • Conduct training and awareness programs on risk management best practices for teams
  • Monitor emerging risks in the financial services landscape, such as fintech disruptions and geopolitical factors
  • Support audit and regulatory examinations by providing documentation and insights
  • Drive continuous improvement in control processes using data analytics and automation tools

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or control functions within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in leading risk identification and mitigation initiatives in a large-scale banking environment
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and OCC guidelines
  • Experience in audit, control testing, and issue management within a global financial institution
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Risk Management) from an accredited institution
  • Certification such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
  • Prior experience at a major bank like JPMorgan Chase or similar in control management roles
