Key Responsibilities

• Lead data transformation projects to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting processes within the Controllers organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, risk management, and finance to integrate data pipelines and automate reporting workflows
• Develop and implement data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with global regulatory standards and internal policies at JP Morgan Chase
• Analyze complex financial datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process optimization
• Drive innovation in data analytics tools and technologies to support real-time decision-making for senior leadership
• Manage stakeholder communications, providing updates on project milestones, risks, and outcomes
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
• Conduct audits and quality checks on transformed data to maintain high standards of integrity and reliability
• Contribute to strategic planning for the Controllers Data Transformation team, aligning with JP Morgan's broader digital transformation goals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or Master's) preferred
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial services, particularly in data transformation, analytics, or controller functions
• Proven track record in leading data transformation initiatives within a large financial institution
• Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements such as IFRS, GAAP, and Basel standards
• Experience with data governance, quality assurance, and integration in a banking environment
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a global setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in data analytics (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional) or accounting (e.g., CPA, CA)
• Prior experience at a major investment bank like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira or Confluence
• Familiarity with JP Morgan's internal systems and financial reporting frameworks

Required Skills

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data querying and analysis
• Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
• Strong knowledge of financial modeling and accounting principles
• Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools like Informatica or Talend
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Superior communication and presentation skills for executive reporting
• Project management expertise using methodologies like Agile or Waterfall
• Understanding of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
