Key Responsibilities

• Execute trades in emerging markets currencies, including spot, forwards, and options, to support client needs and proprietary strategies
• Monitor and analyze market trends, macroeconomic indicators, and geopolitical events impacting emerging market currencies
• Collaborate with sales teams to provide pricing, hedging solutions, and market insights to institutional clients
• Manage trading book risks, including position sizing, hedging, and stress testing in volatile environments
• Develop and implement trading strategies leveraging quantitative models and real-time data
• Contribute to daily P&L reporting and performance attribution for the currencies desk
• Liaise with global teams across J.P. Morgan's Corporate & Investment Bank to ensure seamless execution
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and compliance requirements for FX trading in London
• Support junior team members in training and desk operations during high-volume periods

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• 1-3 years of experience in financial markets, trading, or related roles within investment banking
• Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets, particularly emerging markets currencies
• Proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis
• Excellent command of English; additional languages relevant to emerging markets (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic) preferred
• Ability to obtain necessary regulatory approvals for trading roles in the UK

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in currencies trading or emerging markets desk at a major financial institution
• Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Finance or Economics
• Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal and Reuters Eikon for market data analysis
• Experience with risk management frameworks in volatile emerging markets
• Knowledge of regulatory environments in key emerging economies (e.g., Brazil, India, South Africa)
