Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and filing corporate tax returns for JP Morgan Chase entities in India
  • Conduct tax research and analysis on new regulations impacting financial services
  • Support tax provision processes, including quarterly and annual calculations
  • Collaborate with global tax teams to ensure compliance with international tax standards
  • Review and reconcile tax accounts and financial statements
  • Identify opportunities for tax optimization within banking operations
  • Prepare documentation for tax audits and respond to regulatory inquiries
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and advise on implications for JP Morgan's business
  • Assist in transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions
  • Contribute to process improvements in the tax department using innovative tools

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in corporate tax, preferably in financial services
  • Strong understanding of Indian tax laws and regulations, including GST and Income Tax Act
  • Proficiency in tax compliance software and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, global environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CA, or equivalent certification
  • Experience in multinational tax compliance for banking institutions
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards
  • Prior internship or role at a Big Four firm
