In this role, you will support the end-to-end tax compliance process, from gathering financial data to filing returns and responding to audits. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess tax risks associated with complex banking transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and trading activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file UK Corporation Tax returns and related disclosures for JPMorgan Chase entities
  • Assist in the quarterly and annual tax provision processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal controls
  • Conduct tax research on emerging UK and international tax issues impacting banking operations
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and business teams to support tax planning and advisory needs
  • Manage VAT compliance, including returns, reconciliations, and audits for financial services activities
  • Review and analyze tax impacts of business transactions, such as derivatives and capital markets deals
  • Support internal and external tax audits, preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Contribute to process improvements in tax reporting using automation tools
  • Monitor legislative changes and advise on their implications for JPMorgan's global tax strategy
  • Ensure adherence to JPMorgan's risk management and ethical standards in all tax activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field
  • Professional qualification such as CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) or equivalent (e.g., ACCA, CPA)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate tax compliance and reporting within a financial services or multinational corporation
  • Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax regulations, including Corporation Tax, VAT, and international tax principles
  • Experience with tax provision processes under IFRS or US GAAP
  • Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's) in Taxation or Law
  • Experience in Big Four accounting firms or major financial institutions
  • Knowledge of FATCA, BEPS, and OECD guidelines
  • Prior exposure to JPMorgan Chase or similar banking environments
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to international tax matters
