Key Responsibilities

  • Process and validate margin calls for derivatives and securities financing transactions to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Manage collateral postings, reconciliations, and substitutions across multiple asset classes including equities, bonds, and cash
  • Monitor daily collateral positions and perform risk assessments to mitigate exposure in line with JP Morgan's risk framework
  • Collaborate with trading desks, middle office, and legal teams to resolve discrepancies and optimize collateral usage
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations, including timely reporting to regulators in Singapore
  • Analyze and report on margin requirements using advanced tools to support portfolio optimization
  • Handle escalations for complex collateral disputes and contribute to process improvements in Credit Operations
  • Support audit and control functions by maintaining accurate records and documentation for margin and collateral activities
  • Participate in system enhancements and testing for new collateral management platforms at JP Morgan Chase

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit operations, margin management, or collateral processing within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and collateralized lending practices
  • Proficiency in regulatory requirements such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, or EMIR related to margin and collateral
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to handle complex financial data
  • Availability to work in Singapore and comply with local regulatory standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a global investment bank like JP Morgan Chase
  • Knowledge of collateral management systems such as Murex or Calypso
  • Certification in risk management (e.g., FRM) or financial operations
