Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor compliance with credit agreement terms and covenants for an assigned portfolio of corporate clients
  • Conduct detailed reviews of financial statements, ratios, and performance metrics to identify potential risks
  • Prepare and distribute compliance reports, alerts, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with relationship managers, legal teams, and risk officers to resolve covenant breaches or issues
  • Perform stress testing and scenario analysis on portfolio exposures to ensure adherence to risk limits
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with JP Morgan Chase's internal policies and regulatory standards
  • Support portfolio management by providing insights on credit quality and early warning indicators
  • Participate in credit committee meetings and contribute to decision-making processes
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and internal policies affecting lending services
  • Assist in training junior team members and process improvements within the Bengaluru team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or lending services within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of credit agreements, covenants, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using tools like Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) or relevant certifications like CFA or FRM
  • Experience with syndicated loans or large corporate credit portfolios
  • Knowledge of Indian financial regulations and international banking standards
