Key Responsibilities

  • Lead advocacy efforts with regulators, industry bodies, and policymakers to shape custody industry standards and promote JP Morgan Chase's position as a leading global custodian
  • Develop and execute strategic engagement plans to build partnerships with key stakeholders, including asset managers, pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes to inform product strategy and innovation in custody services
  • Collaborate with internal teams in product management, compliance, and sales to align industry developments with business objectives
  • Represent JP Morgan Chase at industry conferences, panels, and working groups to enhance brand visibility and influence thought leadership
  • Drive initiatives for custody product enhancements, focusing on operational efficiency, risk management, and client-centric solutions
  • Monitor and report on global custody market dynamics, providing insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making
  • Foster relationships with external consultants and advisors to support advocacy campaigns and regulatory submissions
  • Contribute to the development of whitepapers, position papers, and responses to regulatory consultations on behalf of JP Morgan Chase

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on custody services, asset servicing, or institutional investment operations
  • Proven track record in industry advocacy, regulatory engagement, or strategic partnerships within global custody or capital markets
  • Deep knowledge of custody regulations, including SEC, OCC, and international standards such as those from IOSCO and FATF
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a large financial institution, with exposure to product development and client-facing roles
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and develop strategic recommendations
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for industry conferences and client meetings
