Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage asset servicing activities including corporate actions, income payments, and proxy voting for client portfolios
  • Perform daily reconciliations of securities positions and cash balances to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external custodians to resolve discrepancies and exceptions in a timely manner
  • Monitor and execute client instructions for asset transfers, settlements, and reporting
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls in all custody operations
  • Provide support for audits, risk assessments, and client queries related to asset servicing
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends and recommend enhancements for process excellence
  • Liaise with global teams to support cross-border asset servicing needs in the APAC region

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in custody operations, asset servicing, or related financial services roles
  • Strong understanding of securities processing, corporate actions, and reconciliation processes
  • Proficiency in financial markets and custody regulations in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Excellent command of English; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is advantageous
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JP Morgan Chase systems or similar custody platforms like SWIFT or Calypso
  • Knowledge of HKMA and SFC regulatory requirements for asset servicing
  • Prior exposure to client-facing roles in global custody services
  • Certification such as CFA Level 1 or equivalent in financial operations
