Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Spark and Python to process high-volume financial transaction data
• Leverage AWS cloud infrastructure to deploy and optimize data engineering solutions for JP Morgan's global banking operations
• Integrate Agentic AI technologies to automate data ingestion, transformation, and anomaly detection in financial datasets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists and analysts to support advanced analytics for risk assessment and fraud detection
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory standards in all engineering workflows
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to handle real-time and batch data from diverse sources like market feeds and customer transactions
• Troubleshoot and optimize data systems for performance in high-stakes financial environments
• Contribute to innovation in data architecture, exploring AI-driven tools to enhance operational efficiency at JP Morgan Chase
• Document technical designs and mentor junior engineers on best practices in data engineering
• Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies to deliver reliable data solutions aligned with business objectives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 3-5 years of professional experience in data engineering roles within the financial services industry
• Proficiency in Python for data processing, scripting, and automation
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and ETL pipelines
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including S3, EMR, Glue, and Lambda for cloud-based data solutions
• Experience implementing Agentic AI frameworks for autonomous data workflows and decision-making systems
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial data with strict compliance to regulations like GDPR and SOX

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Java for backend development and integration with legacy financial systems
• Experience with machine learning pipelines in a banking environment
• Familiarity with financial data standards such as FIX protocol or SWIFT messaging
• Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics) or Spark
