We are seeking a talented Data Management Analyst to serve as the Reference Data Team Lead in our Hyderabad office, playing a pivotal role in managing reference data operations for global markets. As the Reference Data Team Lead, you will oversee a dynamic team responsible for maintaining high-quality reference data for securities, counterparties, and financial instruments. Your primary focus will be on operational excellence, handling complex queries from internal stakeholders and clients, and driving key change projects to enhance data processes. You will ensure robust controls are in place to mitigate risks, comply with regulatory standards like MiFID II and SEC requirements, and support the firm's data governance framework. This role demands a strategic mindset to identify process improvements, automate workflows using tools like SQL and ETL processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across APAC, EMEA, and Americas regions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Reference Data team in Hyderabad, overseeing daily operations and ensuring timely delivery of data management services
• Manage and resolve complex client and internal stakeholder queries related to reference data for securities, counterparties, and instruments
• Drive change management projects, including system enhancements, process automation, and regulatory compliance updates
• Implement and monitor data quality controls, performing root cause analysis on discrepancies and implementing corrective actions
• Collaborate with global teams to standardize reference data processes across JP Morgan Chase's Corporate & Investment Bank
• Conduct team training, performance reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and risk awareness
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and data governance policies in line with financial industry standards
• Analyze operational metrics to identify inefficiencies and recommend optimizations for cost savings and efficiency gains
• Support ad-hoc reporting and analytics needs for senior management on reference data trends and issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, reference data operations, or financial services data handling
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams within a high-volume operational environment
• Strong understanding of financial instruments, securities reference data, and regulatory requirements such as MiFID II or Dodd-Frank
• Experience with data quality controls, reconciliation processes, and issue resolution in a banking context
• Proficiency in SQL and data querying tools for managing large datasets
• Ability to handle complex stakeholder queries and drive process improvements in a global financial institution

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Finance, Data Analytics, or Business Administration
• Certification in data management (e.g., CDMP) or financial data standards (e.g., ISO 20022)
• Prior experience at a major investment bank like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira for change initiatives
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or Azure in a financial services setting
