Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the Reference Data Product strategy as a Vice President-level Product Owner at JP Morgan Chase
• Oversee agile product backlogs, prioritize features, and collaborate with engineering, data, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality reference data solutions
• Drive data governance initiatives ensuring compliance with firm-wide standards and regulatory requirements in the financial services sector
• Manage cross-functional teams to enhance reference data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness for securities, entities, and market data
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with data management, including data quality issues and integration challenges across JP Morgan's global platforms
• Facilitate product roadmapping, user story refinement, and sprint planning to align with business objectives in wholesale banking and capital markets
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics for reference data products, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan's risk and control frameworks
• Collaborate with senior leadership to influence data strategy and advocate for resource allocation in data management initiatives
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of reference data processes to support regulatory reporting and operational efficiency
• Foster innovation by exploring emerging technologies like AI/ML for reference data enrichment and automation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data management, reference data, or product ownership roles within the financial services industry
• Proven track record as a Product Owner or Lead in agile environments, with experience overseeing data product solutions
• Strong understanding of reference data domains including securities, counterparties, and market data in a banking context
• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as BCBS 239, GDPR, and SEC reporting requirements
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional teams in a large-scale financial institution
• Proficiency in data governance principles and data quality management practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar, with exposure to wholesale banking or asset management
• Certification in Agile/Scrum (e.g., CSPO, PMP) or data-related credentials (e.g., CDMP)
• Background in implementing data management platforms for reference data in a global banking environment
• Familiarity with JP Morgan's internal tools and processes for data lineage and metadata management
• Advanced degree or MBA with a focus on financial technology or data analytics

Required Skills

• Expertise in Agile methodologies and product ownership tools like Jira or Confluence
• Deep knowledge of reference data management systems (e.g., GoldenSource, Bloomberg, or proprietary platforms)
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Java for data querying and analysis
• Strong understanding of financial instruments, market data feeds, and entity resolution
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data lineage tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for cross-functional collaboration
