Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of data governance strategies to ensure high-quality data assets across JP Morgan Chase's global operations
• Oversee data ownership processes, defining roles and responsibilities for data stewards and custodians in alignment with business units
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders in the Chief Data and Analytics Office to drive data-driven decision-making and innovation in financial services
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies, mitigating risks related to data privacy and security
• Manage the data catalog and metadata repository, enhancing data discoverability and usability for analytics teams
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, implementing remediation plans to support accurate reporting and risk management
• Foster a culture of data literacy and accountability within the organization through training and governance frameworks
• Partner with technology teams to integrate advanced analytics and AI into data management practices
• Monitor key performance indicators for data governance and report progress to executive leadership
• Drive continuous improvement in data management practices to support JP Morgan's digital transformation initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in data management, governance, or analytics within the financial services industry
• Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams in data-related roles at a senior level
• Deep knowledge of data governance frameworks, including data quality, lineage, and metadata management
• Experience with regulatory compliance in financial services, such as GDPR, Basel III, and CCAR reporting requirements
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architectures and cloud-based data platforms
• Certification in data management (e.g., CDMP) or equivalent professional accreditation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Advanced degree in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence
• Familiarity with JP Morgan's internal data tools and platforms, such as proprietary analytics systems
• Prior role in leading data transformation initiatives in a banking environment
• Knowledge of AI/ML applications in data governance
