Key Responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and confirm derivatives trades to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
  • Manage the end-to-end trade lifecycle for derivatives, including cash movements, funding requirements, and settlement activities
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in trade confirmations, collaborating with front office, middle office, and external counterparties
  • Drive process improvements by analyzing workflows, implementing automation, and reducing operational risks
  • Monitor daily trade volumes, ensuring timely processing and reporting to senior management
  • Support audit and regulatory reporting requirements related to derivatives operations
  • Liaise with global teams to handle cross-border trade confirmations and funding needs
  • Contribute to the development of operational controls and procedures for new derivatives products
  • Assist in training junior team members on confirmation best practices and system usage

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in derivatives operations, trade confirmations, or trade lifecycle management within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of derivatives products including swaps, options, and futures
  • Proficiency in trade confirmation processes and regulatory requirements such as EMIR and Dodd-Frank
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume, time-sensitive tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JPMorgan Chase systems or similar banking platforms like Murex or Calypso
  • Knowledge of trade settlement and reconciliation processes in a global banking context
  • Certification in financial operations such as the Certificate in Derivatives Operations (CDO)
  • Prior exposure to process improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
