Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions for JP Morgan's financial platforms
• Serve as the primary technical decision-maker, defining architecture and technology strategies aligned with business objectives
• Drive end-to-end solution delivery, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards in a regulated environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and compliance experts, to innovate in areas like digital banking and risk analytics
• Oversee the adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as AI, cloud-native services, and microservices to enhance operational efficiency
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring robust security and compliance with financial regulations
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, conducting code reviews, performance assessments, and professional development for team members
• Contribute to strategic planning for the software engineering organization, aligning with JP Morgan's global technology roadmap

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams
• Proven track record of leading large-scale software projects in the financial services industry
• Deep expertise in modern software development practices, including agile methodologies and DevOps
• Strong understanding of financial systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud in a financial context
• Ability to mentor and develop high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MBA or PhD) with a focus on technology or finance
• Experience leading teams in developing trading platforms, payment systems, or blockchain solutions at a major financial institution
• Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP)
• Prior experience at JP Morgan Chase or a similar global bank
• Knowledge of machine learning applications in fraud detection or algorithmic trading
