Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence within JP Morgan Chase's technology organization
• Serve as the primary decision-maker for technical architecture, strategy, and roadmap in your area of focus, aligning with firm-wide goals in financial services
• Drive the end-to-end delivery of complex software solutions, from ideation to deployment, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with industry regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, data scientists, and business leaders, to translate financial business needs into technical requirements
• Oversee the adoption of cutting-edge technologies like AI, cloud computing, and microservices to enhance JP Morgan's digital banking and trading platforms
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring robust systems that support high-volume transactions and real-time data processing in the financial sector
• Champion best practices in code quality, testing, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Contribute to talent development by recruiting top engineering talent and providing growth opportunities within the firm's global teams
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to position JP Morgan Chase as a leader in financial technology innovation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams
• Proven track record of leading large-scale software development projects in the financial services industry
• Deep expertise in modern software development practices, including agile methodologies and DevOps
• Strong understanding of financial systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud in a financial context
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and deliver high-impact solutions in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or certifications in financial technology (FinTech) or cybersecurity
• Prior experience at a global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Knowledge of machine learning applications in fraud detection or algorithmic trading
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a multicultural, global setting
• Familiarity with Java, Python, or Scala in building scalable financial applications

Required Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C++ for financial applications
