Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in the development and delivery of innovative solutions for JP Morgan's financial platforms
• Serve as the primary technical decision-maker, defining architecture, technology stacks, and best practices for your area
• Drive end-to-end solution delivery, from ideation to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives in risk management and client services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and compliance experts, to integrate financial technologies
• Oversee the adoption of agile practices and DevOps tools to accelerate development cycles while maintaining high standards of security and reliability
• Identify and mitigate technical risks in financial applications, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and JP Morgan's internal policies
• Foster a culture of innovation by championing emerging technologies like AI and cloud computing to enhance trading efficiency and customer experience
• Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and contribute to talent development within JP Morgan's engineering community

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams
• Proven track record in delivering complex software solutions in the financial services industry, including experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, FCA requirements)
• Deep expertise in modern software development practices, including agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures
• Strong understanding of financial systems, such as trading platforms, risk management tools, or core banking applications
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a global environment, with a focus on innovation and technical decision-making
• Excellent communication skills to interface with senior stakeholders and present technical strategies to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer)
• Experience in fintech innovation, such as AI/ML integration for fraud detection or blockchain for secure transactions
• Prior leadership in high-stakes projects involving data security and cybersecurity in banking environments
• MBA or equivalent business acumen to align technical initiatives with JP Morgan's strategic goals
• International experience, particularly in EMEA regions, with knowledge of UK financial regulations
