Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers focused on core banking platforms, fostering innovation and technical excellence
• Serve as the primary decision-maker for architectural choices, technology stack, and solution delivery in your technical domain
• Drive the end-to-end development and deployment of scalable, secure software solutions that support JP Morgan's global financial operations
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to align engineering efforts with strategic business goals in areas like payments, risk management, and trading systems
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal security standards while optimizing system performance and reliability
• Identify and implement process improvements, including CI/CD pipelines and automation to accelerate delivery in a fast-paced financial environment
• Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and vendor relationships for engineering projects
• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within your team and contribute to JP Morgan's culture of responsible innovation
• Monitor emerging technologies and assess their applicability to core financial services challenges
• Provide technical guidance during audits and contribute to enterprise-wide engineering standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams
• Proven track record in delivering complex software solutions in the financial services industry, particularly in core banking systems
• Deep expertise in modern software development practices, including agile methodologies and DevOps
• Strong understanding of financial regulations such as GDPR, SOX, and PCI-DSS compliance
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a high-stakes environment like investment banking or payments processing
• Ability to mentor and develop engineering talent while driving technical excellence

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or MBA in a technology or finance-related field
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud in a financial context
• Prior leadership in JP Morgan Chase or similar large-scale financial institutions
• Knowledge of blockchain, AI/ML applications in fintech, or real-time payment systems
• Certifications in project management (PMP) or cloud architecture

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++ for backend development
• Expertise in microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
