Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of software solutions for data governance within the AI/ML platform at JPMorgan Chase's CDAO
• Oversee a team of engineers to ensure robust data quality, lineage, and compliance in financial data pipelines
• Collaborate with AI/ML product owners and data scientists to integrate governance controls into machine learning workflows
• Drive innovation in data platforms, leveraging technologies like Spark and Kafka to handle high-volume financial datasets
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, mitigating risks in data usage for trading, risk management, and customer analytics
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of excellence in the Hyderabad technology center
• Partner with global stakeholders to align data governance strategies with JPMorgan's enterprise objectives
• Monitor and optimize platform performance, scalability, and security in a cloud-native environment
• Contribute to strategic roadmaps for AI/ML and data platforms, influencing firm-wide technology decisions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in data engineering or data governance roles
• Proven track record leading engineering teams in building scalable data platforms, preferably in financial services
• Deep expertise in AI/ML technologies and data governance frameworks within regulated environments like banking
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and data tools like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
• Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and financial compliance standards (e.g., SOX, Basel III)

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications in AI/ML (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning) or data governance (e.g., CDMP)
• Prior experience at a major financial institution, ideally with exposure to JPMorgan Chase's technology stack
• Hands-on experience implementing data lineage and metadata management tools in enterprise settings
• Leadership in agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration in global teams

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala for backend development
• Expertise in big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive)
• Knowledge of data governance tools (Collibra, Alation, Informatica)
