Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of innovative software solutions to transform JP Morgan Chase's FP&A processes, enhancing accuracy and efficiency in financial planning
• Oversee a team of software engineers, providing technical direction and fostering a culture of innovation within the Finance organization
• Collaborate with FP&A business leaders, data scientists, and IT stakeholders to identify technology needs and align solutions with strategic business goals
• Design and architect scalable systems for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, integrating advanced analytics and AI/ML capabilities
• Ensure all solutions comply with regulatory standards such as SOX, GDPR, and internal JP Morgan Chase policies
• Drive the adoption of modern technologies like cloud computing and automation to reduce costs and improve decision-making in financial operations
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, promoting best practices in software development and DevOps
• Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and report on key metrics to senior leadership
• Stay abreast of industry trends in fintech and financial software to recommend cutting-edge tools and methodologies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in financial services or FP&A systems
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams in delivering technology solutions for financial planning and analysis
• Deep understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance in banking
• Experience with agile methodologies and managing cross-functional teams in a large-scale enterprise environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage stakeholder relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or advanced certification in finance (e.g., CFA)
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure in financial applications
• Prior work at a major financial institution on FP&A transformation projects
• Knowledge of data governance and risk management in financial systems

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala for backend development
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Hadoop)
• Experience with financial software tools like SAP, Oracle EPM, or Anaplan
• Skills in data analytics and visualization (Tableau, Power BI)
• Understanding of machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for predictive modeling
