Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in the development and delivery of innovative financial solutions, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan Chase's strategic goals
• Serve as the primary technical decision-maker for your area, architecting scalable systems that support core banking, trading, and client services
• Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies like cloud computing, AI, and automation to enhance operational efficiency and risk mitigation
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and business leaders to define technical roadmaps and prioritize features for financial products
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, adhering to industry standards and compliance requirements
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team, promoting agile practices and knowledge sharing
• Manage resource allocation, performance evaluations, and professional development for direct reports in a fast-paced global environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams
• Proven track record in delivering complex software solutions in the financial services industry, including experience with regulatory compliance and risk management
• Deep expertise in modern software development practices, including agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures
• Strong understanding of financial technologies such as payment systems, trading platforms, or core banking systems
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a global environment, with a focus on innovation and scalable solution delivery
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive technical decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) or financial technologies (e.g., FINRA, CFA)
• Experience in AI/ML integration for financial applications or blockchain technologies
• Prior leadership in high-stakes projects involving data security and cybersecurity in banking
• MBA or equivalent business acumen to align technical strategies with business objectives
• International experience, particularly in APAC markets, with knowledge of local regulatory frameworks in India
