Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and deploying innovative solutions for payments and lending within Consumer and Community Banking
  • Oversee the architecture of scalable, secure systems that comply with financial regulations and support high-volume transactions
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and business leaders to define technical roadmaps and prioritize features
  • Drive adoption of modern technologies like cloud-native services, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines to enhance system reliability
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver high-impact initiatives on schedule
  • Ensure robust security practices and risk management in all software development processes
  • Partner with innovation teams to explore and integrate emerging technologies in lending and payments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams
  • Proven track record of delivering complex software solutions in the financial services industry, particularly in payments or lending domains
  • Deep expertise in agile methodologies and DevOps practices for scalable financial systems
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in banking, including knowledge of PCI-DSS, GDPR, and SOX
  • Strong leadership skills with a history of mentoring and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
